Faculty of Law UII Achieves Top National Ranking among Private Universities in the 2026 THE WUR by Subject: Law

The Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), has achieved first place nationally among private universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) by Subject: Law 2026. The indicators used in this ranking include Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry, and International Outlook. Overall, the Faculty of Law UII is recognized as the fourth-best law faculty among both public and private universities in Indonesia, and the top-ranked among private universities nationwide.
On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia, stated that this achievement is not a coincidence, but rather a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and collective contributions of all faculty members—including lecturers, staff, students, alumni, and partner stakeholders. All parties have demonstrated remarkable synergy, which deserves appreciation as clear evidence of the strength of collaboration.
More importantly, this achievement should serve as a source of motivation for all members of the academic community to continuously maintain and enhance the quality of education and teaching, research, international mobility, community service and da’wah, as well as institutional services within the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia.
Prof. Dr. Budi Agus Riswandi, S.H., M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Law UII, encouraged the entire academic community to uphold a shared commitment to sustaining and strengthening the faculty’s accountable reputation. This achievement, therefore, should not be viewed merely as a temporary milestone, but as a solid foundation for sustainable progress in the future. He emphasized the importance of continuing to contribute with a collaborative spirit, as true success is built and preserved collectively.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE Ranking) is a global university ranking system compiled by Times Higher Education, an international higher education ranking and publication organization based in the United Kingdom. The THE Ranking aims to comprehensively assess university performance, provide insights into institutional quality across education, research, internationalization, and social impact, and serve as a global reference for students, academics, policymakers, and higher education institutions.
THE is widely recognized as one of the most influential university ranking systems in the world, alongside the QS World University Rankings and the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU/Shanghai Ranking).
