There are many collaborations that we will offer which will have a positive impact on the academic community of the Faculty of Law, UII, especially in terms of credit transfer programs, lecturer exchange programs, double title programs, research programs and community service. It is very possible for Faculty of Law UII to carry out international community service activities in Taiwan, especially for migrant workers from Indonesia so that they understand their rights according to Taiwanese law, Indonesian law, and international law.” said the Dean of the Faculty of Law, UII, Prof. Dr. Budi Agus Riswandi, S.H., M.Hum. when giving a speech at the College of Law, Chung Cheng University.
During his visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Law UII was accompanied by the Head of the Undergraduate Law Study Program, Faculty of Law UII, Assoc. Her dissertation research is on business arbitration law. This is a sign that there are many opportunities for collaboration in Taiwan. During the visit, we received a positive response from Chung Cheng University and National Yunlin University of Science and Technology to conduct student exchanges for one semester. And it is also very possible for students to do internships in the industry in Taiwan, especially in the legal sector. This will be an acceleration of knowledge in the legal field which is good for our students,” said Dodik Setiawan Nur Heriyanto, S.H., M.H., L.LM., Ph.D. when giving a presentation at National Chung Cheng University.
At the end of the visit, the Dean of the UII Faculty of Law signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Dean of the College of Humanities and Sciences of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. This bilateral cooperation is the legal basis for implementing student exchanges and internships. “There are students from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology who are interested and will stay at Faculty of Law UII to conduct student exchanges and work in the 7th International Students Colloqium who are participating in the Law Study Program, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Law UII.” said Dodik Setiawan Nur Heriyanto.
The delegation of the Islamic University of Indonesia received a warm welcome during their visit to Taiwan. This is because Faculty of Law UII has a good reputation at the national and international levels. During the visit, the Faculty of Law UII delegation was able to visit the dormitory, library, learning facilities and lecture halls for students, as well as several other facilities. The low cost of living in Taiwan, especially in Yunlin City, is a concern for the Faculty of Law UII delegation so that when the UII academic community carries out activities in Taiwan, they are not burdened while participating in internationalization activities. In addition, the Dean of Faculty of Law UII was also welcomed directly by the Chancellor, the ranks of vice chancellors and important leaders at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. The Dean of Faculty of Law UII and the delegation also had the opportunity to attend the 34th Anniversary of the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology which took place for one day at the National Conference Hall on campus.
