Dr. M. Busyro Muqoddas, S.H., M.Hum

Born in Yogyakarta on July 17, 1952, this man is recorded in history as the Chairman of the Judicial Commission for the 2005–2010 period. Before his career at the Judicial Commission, almost his entire career journey was spent at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), where he held several important positions. Known for his calm and modest demeanor, he earned his Bachelor’s  degrees on 1977, and Doctoral degrees in Law from the Faculty of Law at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), while his Master of Law degree was obtained from the Faculty of Law at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on 1995. 

Before his career at the Judicial Commission, almost his entire career journey was spent at the Faculty of Law at UII, holding several important positions. As a testament to his commitment to eradicating the judicial mafia—one sign of which is steering clear of corrupt behavior—he was awarded the Bung Hatta Anti-Corruption Award in 2008.

  • 2011–2014: Commissioner of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia
  • 2015–2022: Chairman of the Central Executive Board of Muhammadiyah
  • 2023–2027: Chairman of the Central Executive Board of Muhammadiyah
