The Story of Nailah, a Student From the Undergraduate Study Program in Law UII who passed the Student Exchange at Hasanuddin University

Very proud! Nailah, a student in the third semester of the Undergraduate Study Program in Law, Faculty of Law UII, has successfully passed to take part in the Student Exchange under the scheme of MBKM Program at the Bachelor of Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, Hasanuddin University. Nailah will study for 1 semester and after that will convert the courses she took in Makassar to the Undergraduate Study Program in Law.

Nailah’s journey began because of advice from her cousin who was a participant in the Student Exchange batch 2 (PMM 2) at the University of Papua. Nailah was very interested in this program because she thought about when else she would be able to explore the vast land of Indonesia and get to know the cultural diversity that existed in the place where she would study for one semester. Apart from that, he wants to have friends from all over the archipelago who of course have different characteristics. When she received news that PMM batch 3 would open, Nailah immediately looked for information through her cousin and the UII website. He researched and read carefully what he could find from the UII website regarding the program

However, it is a shame that PMM information is still very minimal on the UII website.S he only received information such as the recommendation to meet the DPA and Head of the Study Program first to discuss the program before registering. Never giving up, Nailah remained enthusiastic and started looking for information through her social media. Long story short, PMM 3 registration opened, that’s where Nailah started to get busy going back and forth to campus to take care of the necessary documents. At that time, preparations were very tight considering that Nailah was going back to Riau to welcome Eid with her beloved family.

After much thought, Nailah decided to choose Hasanuddin University as her first choice and thank God she passed. After that, he started to contact Mrs. Ayunita Nur Rohanawati, S.H., M.H. as DPA and facing back to the Head of the UII Undergraduate Legal Study Program, namely Mr. Dodik Setiawan Nur Heriyanto, S.H., M.H., LL.M., Ph.D. what courses can be taken at UNHAS later and contact Mr Muhammad Arief Sateio Kinady, A.Md. who is the Head of the Academic Administration Division. It was at this stage that Nailah began to feel doubtful about whether she should continue with this program or not, this was caused by her confusion because she felt that the campus also did not understand this program. However, with the remaining enthusiasm he decided to continue until the end. He believes there will be something beautiful with all his hard work so far. It turned out to be true, he felt many benefits from the program.

While at UNHAS, Nailah experienced a very new environment. The learning system at UNHAS is very different from UII, where UNHAS uses a team teaching system for all its courses. At UNHAS, Nailah took 6 courses, namely Administrative Court Procedural Law, Constitutional Court Procedural Law, Civil Procedural Law and Civil Justice Practice, Supervision Law, Law and Human Rights and Agrarian Law with a total of 21 credits including the Nusantara Module which is a Compulsory Subject of this program.

While undergoing this program, it is the memories spent with friends that really leave a lasting impression on my heart. Where we meet new people who of course have their own characteristics and characteristics in a short time. Memories of the excitement and tiredness of walking home from college to save costs and going for walks around Makassar City together. PMM teaches us to become more tolerant humans in various things, indirectly also teaches us what it means to be grateful for the scenario that God has set for our lives. After this program is finished, which is around December, Nailah will be even more daring to try things that will definitely have a positive impact on her life

She thanks to Mrs. Ayu and Mr. Kinady who were willing to answer various questions regarding the conversion system. As well as thanks to Mr Dodik who has been very supportive in various matters regarding Nailah’s participation in this program.
