Faculty of Law Universitas Islam Indonesia Students Represent Indonesia in Washington D.C.

Students from the International Program, Faculty of Law Universitas Islam Indonesia have brought home a swag of awards from the Indonesian National Rounds of the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition, the world’s most prestigious moot court competition

Crowned national runner-up for 2015, the team’s achievements also included best spirit of the Jessup in the competition, and awards for third best written submissions.

After defeating University of Indonesia in the semi-final, the team progressed to the final against the University of Pelita Harapan (UPH) before a distinguished international panel.

The team will not have long until they pack their bags for Washington D.C., where they will contest the International Rounds during Easter in their quest to be International Champions. The team coach, Nandang Sutrisno SH, MH, PhD, Dra. Sri Wartini, SH, MH, PhD and Dr. Sefriani SH, MHum, believe that the team can contribute more in the International Rounds in Washington D.C.

Masnur Marzuki, SH, LLM, head of International Program, Faculty of Law Universitas Islam Indonesia says that Faculty of Law Universitas Islam Indonesia has a strong history of performing well at the National Rounds, and 2015 is the highest achievement of the Team.
